The Italian action focuses on the fight against poverty, placing the utmost importance on the social dimension, through the support to the most vulnerable groups of the population such as women, minors and people with disabilities and the development of human resources through education and technical and vocational training. In addition, the initiatives aim at the sustainable economic growth of the country through the promotion of job opportunities, especially for young people and the support to the agri-food and industrial supply chains, as well as to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and innovative start-ups. Finally, for several years the Italian Cooperation has been working to protect Egypt’s natural, cultural, and archaeological heritage, including through initiatives aimed at the promotion of responsible forms of tourism.
